Highlights include formal tea ceremonies on tatami mats in the Garden's traditional tea house (ichiboan) conducted by Urasenke Vancouver, and on seating in the Asian Centre Tea Gallery (wakoan) conducted by Omotesenke Vancouver, guided tours of Nitobe
Memorial Garden, refreshing matcha, origami demonstrations, traditional bento dinners and musical performances by the Shakuhachi Society of B.C. Top off your day with a tour of the garden by lantern-light, a once-yearly event at Nitobe that should not be missed.

If you have friends who are interested in Japanese culture, or know someone who really misses Japan, this is a great chance to bring them along! Order them an Obento to really maximize that natsukashii feeling!

* Please note that Obento must be pre-ordered, see below for details.

Mokuyokai members can pre-register for tea ceremony sittings in the Nitobe  Garden Tea House until March 28, 2007.
